Amenta Emma is seeking an interior designer to join our Hartford office. Candidates must have excellent problem-solving and verbal presentation skills. Candidates will have the opportunity to contribute to project teams on a broad range of project types and scales, in collaborative work environments.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Participate in all phases of the design and documentation

  • Generate programming studies, space planning concepts, and conceptual design options under direction of a Senior Designer

  • Coordinate with consultants, product reps, and furniture dealers

  • Execute construction documents in Revit

  • Assist in construction administration, including RFIs, submittals, and site visits

  • Select and specify FF&E packages

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

  • A professional degree in Interior Design or Architecture from an accredited institution

  • 8+ years of professional experience in a commercial design firm

  • Experience in academic and/or mixed-use / multi-family project types preferred

  • Experience in FF&E selection and procurement

  • Strong verbal, written and presentation skills

  • Strong communication, coordination, and organizational skills

  • Proficiency with Revit, Bluebeam, and MS Office

  • Proficiency with SketchUp, InDesign, and Photoshop preferred.
