LDa Architecture & Interiors is seeking a Senior Interior Designer who will join us as we grow and expand our practice across multiple sectors. The Senior Interior Designer will be based in LDa’s Boston office (located in the SoWa Art + Design District) and must be able to travel to project sites as needed.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Working collaboratively with LDa Principals and design teams, serve as Senior Interior Designer for projects ranging in size and type
Responsibilities vary for each project but may include: space planning, interior architecture, interior design, construction drawings, FF&E, and décor & styling
Coordinate work with vendors & contractors; track project budgets; oversee ordering and scheduling; coordinate installations
Oversee and mentor junior staff members; act as a design leader within the firm
Present to current and prospective clients
Support the firm’s marketing and business development efforts
REQUIREMENTS
Excellent design skills, with an ability to design for a range of client styles, preferences and aesthetics
Strong project management abilities
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign & Photoshop in particular) and Microsoft Office Suite
Proficiency in Revit is a plus
Excellent organization and attention-to-detail
Ability to clearly communicate design concepts to clients; strong presentation skills
Flexibility in handling multiple projects and meeting deadlines
Strong client relationship and interpersonal skills
Experience & Education10 – 15 years of interior design work experience
Experience working with closely with architects and builders
Knowledge of building codes and ADA requirements
Multi-family, commercial and/or institutional design experience required
Residential design experience strongly preferred
Bachelor or Master’s degree in interior design, interior architecture, or a related field
