JOB DESCRIPTION

SP+A, an award-winning architecture, engineering and interior design practice, is seeking a full-time Interior Designer with 3-5 years of experience in a design-oriented office to focus on educational/municipal/workplace projects and more.

Our Interior Designers participate in programming, visioning, designing, selecting, and documenting interior architectural elements, finishes and furniture. They have an ability to develop, communicate and present design concepts to their team. Candidates will have a thorough understanding of interior construction documents including floor plans, floor finish plans, elevations, and details, finish schedules, furniture plans, furniture specifications, FF&E matrices, and budgets. A working knowledge of relevant building codes is necessary.

Successful candidates will be creative, collaborative, organized and driven with the ability to shift seamlessly between team and individual work.

REQUIREMENTS

Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree from a 4-year accredited Interior Design program or equivalent and a minimum of 3 to 5 years of related industry experience. Strong documentation and project management skills, and proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD and InDesign are desired. NCIDQ and LEED certification is a plus. This is an on-site, full-time position.
