The Highlights

NeoCon 2024, held a few weeks ago from June 10-12 in Chicago, is the event of the year for the commercial design industry. The exhibition showcases commercial design’s response to what is happening in the world. Design professionals from various markets converge each year to connect, learn, and do business, and the awards program recognizes outstanding new products, commercial industry pioneers, and innovative product design. 

Since June 1969, when the National Exposition of Contract Interior Furnishings (NeoCon) held its first annual event - featuring a staggering 750 exhibitors and over 100 speakers and moderators who presented seminars and lectures - the scale of the event has continued to grow. Now, with nearly 1 million square feet of exhibition space, NeoCon features game-changing products and services from more than 400 leading companies and emerging players as well as industry partners — providing unparalleled access to the latest and most innovative solutions in commercial design.

The theme of NeoCon this year was “Design Takes Shape”. After viewing most of the showrooms, a few key themes and commonalities floated to the top. Here are five highlights of this year's NeoCon show:

NeoCon is always a great event and a fantastic chance to see what's new and exciting in the world of commercial design - and this year was no exception. Thankfully we don't have to wait too much longer for the next installment. Save the date for NeoCon 2025: June 9-11!
