Ian Setzer
Concentration:
Interior Architecture
College/University:
Boston Architectural College
The intent of Ian’s stadium skybox design is to blend the unique elements of Taylor Swift's 'Reputation', Beyoncé's 'Renaissance', and The Weeknd's 'Starboy' albums into one cohesive design. This design approach marries industrial style with a mix of vintage and modern pieces, creating a setting where different eras and musical inspirations collide.
Q: When did you first realize you wanted to be an interior designer?
A: It took me a while to realize that I wanted to do interior architecture, being surrounded by architecture and interior design all my life by my dad’s work definitely influenced me.
Q: Favorite IIDA NE event/memory?
A: IIDA fashion show was a blast, having universities compete with firms on a different field of design was interesting.
Q: What’s your favorite book and why?
A: The Poetics of Space by Gaston Bachelard. It’s truly one of my favorite books because it explores two of my favorite things which are architecture and poetry.
