JOB DESCRIPTION

A boutique residential interior design studio on Boston's historic North Shore, seeks an experienced, senior-level interior designer. The ideal candidate has extensive trade knowledge and experience working with artisans, millwork shops & design centers throughout the U.S. This position directly supports the firm's principal, Natalie Couture Lebeau, a graduate of F.I.T and a creative tour de force who spent years in the NYC design world. The best fit is trade smart, thrives in an environment of passionate creatives, and is able to take direction and feedback well.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop refined client presentations using digital & hand-rendering techniques, drafting, mockups & scaled models

  • Create comprehensive design schemes & FFE specification packages

  • Collaborate with contractors and vendors to ensure project goals and quality standards are met

  • Manage project timelines, budgets and installation

  • Quote, propose, purchase & track high-ticket products

REQUIREMENTS

  • 6+ years of high-end, residential interior design experience

  • In-depth knowledge of designing, detailing, quoting, and procurement of custom furnishings

  • Demonstrated proficiency using: AutoCAD, InDesign, Photoshop, Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)

  • Ability to easily travel locally and out of state as needed, including: project sites, vendor visits, manufacturer showrooms, procurement trips, antique/trade shows & auctions

  • A professional demeanor, strong work ethic, punctuality, and attention to detail are needed
