COR - Ancillary Specialist

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Interior Design Backround

  • Broad based knowledge of freestanding furniture products

  • Ability to work with entire sales and design team

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as the central source for all ancillary product knowledge

  • Ability to understand A+D firm’s mood boards or BOD and translate that into product solutions

  • Develop and maintain database of ancillary product lines including information on price points, lead time, materiality, LEED qualifications, freight costs, support in the marketplace

  • Provide solution options for sales teams to pursue for all ancillary focused projects and bids

  • Continuously update knowledge base by attending Neocon, ICFF, BDNY, HCD and visiting furniture showrooms

  • Build a virtual library of ancillary solutions that can be accessed by all of COR

  • Help promote the service to A&D as a value-add

  • Drive volume to COR’s key manufacturer partners

  • Help boost the MillerKnoll wallet spend

  • Create a Scout Board template to be used for all RFP responses

  • Develop and maintain strong relationship with key reps and rep organizations

  • Assist with COM recommendations and application

SKILLS & EDUCATION

  • 4-year degree, concentration in Marketing or Business preferred

  • 1-5 years of work experience – industry experience extremely helpful

  • Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with a wide range of people within and outside of COR

  • Must be able to read, write, interpret and communicate fluently in English

  • Writing skills must be sufficient to compose and edit a variety of documents using correct spelling, grammar and punctuation with the ability to pay close attention to detail and proofread work carefully

  • Strong Microsoft Office Suite with ability to learn and use new computer programs/applications

  • Good organizational, time management, customer service and problem-solving skills:

  • Ability to work accurately to meet deadlines by adapting to changes in work environment, work assignments, and/or changes in priorities in a flexible way by working from your own initiative and/or following direction, policies, or procedures

  • Use analytical and decision-making skills to offer options and resolve problems in a variety of contexts

  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team ensuring efficiency of projects from start to finish

  • Ability to read and understand floor plans and other related technical drawings

  • Exercise flexibility, initiative, good judgment and discretion in handling confidential materials and matters as well as highly complex sales challenges
    Physical Demands:

  • Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing

  • Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers
    Work Environment:

  • Work performed in fast-paced office environment daily with visits to various sites including warehouse, construction sites, client sites and offices

  • Strong design background with Ancillary focus is necessary
