CEU Blitz - Week 2

During the weeks of December 9th and 16th, we will host daily CEUs covering a variety of topic and interests. All presentations will take place via Zoom from 12:00 - 1:00 p.m. ET. Learn more about our topics below:

  • Circadian lighting and the circadian cycle course explores the impact of lighting on human health and wellbeing, Students will learn about the importance of light exposure on the circadian system, including how different types of light affect the body's natural rhythms. Students will gain an understanding of the principles of circadian lighting design, including how to create lighting systems that support the body's natural rhythms and promote optimal health.

  • This course will improve your knowledge of entrance products and materials.  We will examine the products available, how they differ and when to use them.  You will understand how entrance systems improve indoor air quality and when they can contribute to LEED credits.  You will learn how to construct entrance systems for different visitor and occupant traffic conditions such as large hospitals, high schools, pharmacies, corporate buildings and more.

    Learning Objectives:
    - Understand the importance of designing entrance systems for commercial buildings
    - Discuss the components that produce safe, effective and attractive entrance systems
    - Compare characteristics of entrance foot grilles and grids
    - Design a system that contributes to healthy indoor air in extreme, heavy, medium and light traffic conditions

  • This course is an introductory understanding of Gauged Porcelain Tiles and Gauged Porcelain Panels. This course will discuss the recently published product standard - ANSI A137.3, and the new installation standard ANSI A108.19.

    Learning Objectives:
    - Participants in this course will be able to understand how thickness determines the distinction between floor and wall tiles.
    - Participants in this course will be able to understand the importance and need of a product standard specific to Gauged Porcelain Tiles/Panels.
    - Participants in this course will be able to understand potential applications for Gauged Porcelain Tiles/Panels.
