Let your voice be heard! As key stakeholders of IIDA New England we invite you to an intimate in-person conversation around the value of IIDA. IIDA New England will provide an update on advocacy efforts in your area as well as other programming; however the focus of our time together will be to hear from you. Your input during this session may inform future IIDA NE programming as the chapter works on strategic plans for the years ahead. What can we do to support you in your career? What have we been doing well? What could we be doing to support your employees and firm differently? Join the Designer Leaders Network for local focus group discussions that will shape programming in your area.hen employers and managers have more frequent conversations with their employees, and the feedback is pointed and productive, employees are more inspired to improve their performance. In the design world, firms take many different approaches to providing engaged feedback. Many firms have one annual review for each employee but have found ways to provide effective feedback in other formats throughout the year. Some companies steer away from the annual review and have a more structured check-in with their employees on a regular basis. Whether through coaching sessions or an annual performance review, the goal should always be helping the employee grow and learn.

Now that so many employees are remote or working a hybrid schedule, consistent communication becomes even more important. Providing effective feedback virtually can be more challenging, but many companies are creating innovative, constructive ways to work through these barriers. What framework do you have in place to make sure you are setting up your employees for success?

Join the Designer Leaders Network for a discussion into the many ways that feedback can be provided to employees, and how to keep those conversations a part of the company's culture. In this session, we will also discuss how the new hybrid schedule affects performance reviews and feedback and the best ways to incite the best performance from employees.
