IIDA NE City Centers comprise of IIDA members from particular cities and geographic regions. These IIDA members come together to provide programs, networking, advocacy, community involvement, public relations, and communications of specific interest to the Chapter and community members within each City Center.
If you have interest in becoming involved with a City Center please contact: Aimee L Jean [AJean@red-thread.com].
The Boston City Center focus is to give back to our community. The successful “Art Uncorked” event brings amazing artwork of our talented Architectural and Design community to help benefit a local charity. There are great events in the works for 2013/2014 so stay tuned!
The Hartford/New Haven City Center is an active group whose events range from education, building tours and guest speakers. We also have 3 annual events being our golf outing, clam bake and holiday gala. Our focus is to bring Connecticut’s interior designers together to expand their professional network and gain valuable information to use in real time through our events. We are looking to expand this year with new professional and student members. We are a very active and fun group always looking for new ideas to share with our members.
Providence is a vibrant City Center in a close knit community. Their focus on community, education and professional development is exhibited by their annual May Habitat for Humanity Volunteer Month, local charitable contributions, Student Award Competition, Green RI – A Sustainable Product Showcase and countless CEU’s. This group also knows how to have fun, anyone attending their annual Croquet Tournament at the International Tennis Hall of Fame can attest to! If you would like to find out more or get more involved, please contact the Providence City Center Director.
