Boston, Massachusetts—June 28, 2007 – The New England chapter of the International Interior Design Association (IIDA NE) honored excellence in Interior Design at a ceremony last night at the new Institute of Contemporary Art, Boston. Winners in 10 categories were announced live at the event.
“Our goal was to create an event that would recognize our profession, celebrate our work and allow us the opportunity to be inspired by one another. Design firms throughout New England were invited to nominate their work and the project teams that helped make it a reality -from clients, contractors and brokers to vendors, consultants and developers – everyone who deserves recognition,” said Felice Silverman, President of IIDA NE. All work was judged outside of New England by members of the New York chapter of IIDA.
In addition, IIDA NE honored State Representative Louis Kafka, thanking him for his steadfast support of Interior Design legislation.
A total of 51 projects were entered for consideration. A complete listing of winners is attached.
