CRITERIA
Design will be judged for innovative character of the overall design, evocative and responsible use of materials, practical application, visual comfort and sustainable material application.

ELIGIBILITY
Application materials must be received at IIDA Headquarters by April 7, 2008.

Projects must have been designed after January 1, 2006 while enrolled in an interior design program. Entrants may submit more than one project, however, a separate entry form and fee must accompany each submission.

REQUIREMENTS
Projects should be between 1,000-30,000 square feet and demonstrate an understanding of sustainable design. All entries must be submitted by electronic medium (jpeg or eps files) on a disc or CD-rom. Please send two separate copies of your project.

A maximum of 5 images may be submitted. One image must be a floor plan; a maximum of four supplemental images may be included.
Optional: Entrants may create a 3-D model of the design to help illustrate the concept. Only photograph images (jpegs or eps files) may be submitted.

A project description must accompany the visual requirements. The description is limited to 500 words. Please include design objectives and challenges faced.

Please do not include your name on any document. Upon receipt of application IIDA Headquarters will assign your entry a code to protect your identity from the judges.

Application materials will not be returned to entrant. The entry fee is non-refundable.

Judges decisions will be mailed May 2008.

AWARDS

Best of Competition: Travel scholarship to USGBC’s GreenBuild Conference 2007, and publication in IIDA's Custom Newsletter.

Award of Excellence: A cash award and publication in IIDA's Custom Newsletter.

Honorable Mention: Complimentary student membership with IIDA for 2009.

All submissions may be included on-line in Custom’s Student Gallery or in IIDA marketing materials.
